Skills Needed: Managing quotes, purchasing, and inventory control of
electronic components
Description:
OnAsset is looking for
individuals with materials management, supply-chain, and purchasing experience
possessing strong communications and organizational skills. Responsible for
performing multiple purchasing/outsourcing
functions in a fast-paced electronics design/manufacturing environment. Should be able to manage purchases to support
projects from prototype development to full production. Responsible for
assuring the continuous supply and timely procurement
of electronic components for our products and services in order to maintain the
maximum production levels at optimum costs,
consistent with quality and quantity specifications.
Additional responsibilities included:
· Preparation and
submission of bid responses to external clients
· Assist in quoting
process, negotiating pricing with suppliers on quoted materials and entering
quotes in system.
· Supervise shipping of
all finished products to customers including inspection of packaging and
freight mode determination and selection.
· Qualify new vendors
for outsourcing material based on work load, cost and vendor history
· Scheduling of raw
materials required with Purchasing
· Warehouse Inventories
-- Maintain and police inventory levels. Manage replenishment including
forecasts, commitments and fill rates.
